Anything before 'recorded' history is pure conjecture. It is one conjecture compared to another. All of it is basic conjecture. Nobody really knows and few actually care.

I agree with you. It is extremely difficult to discern what is myth and what is not. And of course, I mean this based on the current use of the word 'myth', because in ancient Greek (where the word comes from), it originally meant 'true story'.

This IS the first recorded ‘history’ in the world. Mesopotamians, used a flattened lump of clay, pushed the end of a reed stick to imprint it, giving the world its first written words, and the start of archiving history

And don’t forget the flood storyline from Mesopotamia, near exactly to the bible and also the story of Moses from Mesopotamia floating in basket down a river, again near exact. Which is all very troubling for me to reconcile. But there it all is written thousands of years before the Bible. I like to think God did a beta test first, just to get all the bugs worked out.

I believe that the myth of the Great Flood is not a myth at all, but rather an historical fact. All cultures from around the world have a Flood story in their sacred history, which leads me to believe that the Flood really happened.

remember, those are in Power write their his-stories the way they want to. Just because they are written in stone doesn't mean it's the full truth.

Exactly, they used a flattened lump of clay and pushed the end of a reed stick, to give the world its first written words, and the start of archiving history.

So fascinating. And the parallels may be the point. I’m really interested now to learn more about the context of the question and answer about the bread and water of life. Thanks a great read.
