There is also the possibility that it is 'History' and not fantasy. I'm sure that the chroniclers were being as accurate as possible, and had no reason to make up this list, and likely copied it from a much older pre-deluge source, and so on. So I think the list is neither fantasy nor science or spiritual fiction. I guess very few of the anthropologists or archeologists today can wrap their heads around other possibilities for our past realities. I have seen that DNA studies have verified so called ancient tales passed down orally before being written down. Now, don't get your parchments in a twist, and turn whatever parts you don't believe is possible into 'myth' or 'fantasy' or 'fertility symbols' and just accept what is respectable to the Doyens. Being open-minded gives you a lot less migraines.

Dear Joanna. Wonderful article about a VERY mysterious issue! So many have tried to seek the solution.

Well, I propose that Zecharia Sitchin has given us the key/answer in his The 12th Planet; The Wars of Gods and Men; and, The Lost Realms (about the Aztec, Maya, and Inca pre-history).

Most have not read these three foundational studies since mainstreamers call them "mythical." Some alternative theorists have started accepting Sitchin's research (13 books) but still the mythology-bias reigns.

I propose that if we read in-depth these three books and use our common sense, we might end up saying "makes sense to me,"

for we probably will never have the truth about everything argued around clay tablets/cylinder seals in conjunction with the ancient Hebrew bible.

I always ask if one has read all three books, and if they say, no, then I realize their opinion is very subjective and possibly closed-mindedness wins the day.
