The strange behavior of 3I/Atlas since it was first recorded entering the inner Solar System by the NASA-funded Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System (ATLAS) in Río Hurtado, Chile, on July 1, 2025 sets it apart from the previous two interstellar objects spotted in our skies over the past decade. Is 3I/Atlas simply a weird exo-comet of purely natural origin? Is Avi Loeb right to insist that we consider it as potential alien tech? Or is there another explaination altogether?
such a very interesting article! The consensus of most scientists is that 31 Atlas is a natural interstellar comet. some of the anomalous behavior however reminded me of an Arthur C Clarke novel Rendezvous with Rama: an interstellar cargo ship using our solar system sun merely as a slingshot!
Some statements made in the article are bewilderingly grotesque. How can an eleven kms. wide comet nucleus have a coma, which can be "larger than the sun"? Comet tails can be millions of miles in length; that's understandable.
I think, no matter how much the writer is excited with the notion of "discovery", what she/he writes, still, has to make sense. Comet has sentience; comet has consciousness and then giving totally unrelated examples from Sci-fi, is just ridiculous.
I think the author has no idea of what the Sanskrit word "akash" means. All in all, the writer was overexcited and overextended (perhaps in imagination) in writing the article.
Let us keep matter as it is - unconscious - and material, physical with no spiritual attributes. Only life has consciousness and is sentient.
And, in spite of all the discoveries science has made, we know a little. Remember, discoveries can be made by analyzing the external objects; but knowledge can also be acquired through meditation and introspection. You know why? Because all the knowledge that can exist has already been made. We can only discover it, or realize it.
Thank you, Andrew, for keeping us informed. It is bewildering that something of this magnitude is hardly spoken of in everyday conversation. I do understand the ‘fear aspect’, but believe that as adults they should be able to ‘get over it’ and apply their minds to more conducive matters.

It's a very convincing agument to believe it is an 'alien super spacecraft'.
Thank you for the information ! It’s a little
surprising very little is being mentioned about this phenomenon
