Saturnalia links directly with the Comparative Mythology research leading to the Saturnian Theory. First investigated by Immanuel Velikovsky and later continued by David Talbott Dwardu Cardona and Ev Cochrane. The conclusion they all came to is that Earth originally formed part of a brown dwarf system, with Saturn at its core.

The catastrophic end of this idyllic period happened because Saturn was absorbed into Sol's network. Being electric phenomena, stars can switch off. Thus began a nightmare period of dark and cold which is indelibly imprinted on our racial memory (according to IV). We can trace various terms in our language (and many others) from this time. Night refers to No + eight, ie the multipointed 'star ' image seen by our ancestors in its final configuration.

You seem to forget that the solstice season was celebrated by numerous cultures from prehistory, well before the Romans or Christianity. There are many prehistoric monument including Stonehenge, the Egyptian Temple of Horus and Irish Newgrange that align with the first sunrise of the solstice, confirming the rebirth of the sun. It was this rebirth confirmation that was celebrated, and much livestock was sacrificed due to the difficulty of keeping animals fed and alive during the cold winter days until spring when the breeding stock produced new offspring, especially pigs, so feasting was common.

All of this happened centuries before Christians came along and ruined the celebrations with their puritanical god. Saturnalia (and Brumalia) came around much later.
