The ages of Adam and his descendants in the Book of Genesis appear incredulous when compared to the average lifespan of Man throughout history. Though there have been several attempts to justify the numbers mathematically, none can be applied to all cases equally. Can these outlandish figures be explained?
Interesting hypothesis. I am not qualified to judge it on the merits. However, on the setting and time of the Adam and Eve story as traditionally conceived (somewhere in Mesopotamia, early 4th millennium BC) I cannot help but be struck by the fact that this is where and when military conquest began as a wide scale phenomenon, leading to the establishment of the world's first civilization in that region. Is that just a coincidence? I guess my question is, how sure are you of your take on these questions?
There is another of research which started about 70 years ago. This centres on the possibility that Earth started with a different star to the current Sol. It explains the obsession with and worship of Saturn, dinosaurs, giant plants and giant humans.
With a dim purple brown dwarf Saturn, life would have been very different from now. In particular the length of years much shorter. People would live much longer under such idyllic conditions. Then we have to wonder if they lived before or after Saturn met its sad end, 6000 years ago.
At least 4 Comparative Mythologists contributed to this work, initially polymath Velikovsky shocked the science world with Worlds in Collision. I find one piece of evidence stands out for this theory. Modern Indoor Farm systems use purple lighting because their green plants thrive best under it.
If you take one account then you must consider them all. Religiously, the Babylonian's were largely influenced by the Sumerians. The Sumerian's documented who we are, where we came from etc. Yet this is mainly scoffed at or written off as myth. We pick the parts that suit while dismissing those that are uncomfortable or difficult to deal with, but the answer is already there because they told us. The Sumerian's said the gods came from the heavens (skies) and would regularly travel back and forth. If we accept this as a true account it would answer how someone could live such an incredibly long life. I do not recall the exact details, but here's an exaggerated example: Prof Brian Cox once said if you went into space and circumnavigated our galaxy at the speed of light, it would take approx 20 years to arrive back, meanwhile one or two thousand years will have passed on earth.
The kings list put a strain on the brain as small adjustments in mans length of life span from who knows how long to 120 post ELE years, trying to squeeze everthing into biblical time line is sus to say the least.
Assuredly change took place to what degree the human physical condition is changed as earth goes thru its own changes is what i declare will be the next reboot .
Excellent analysis! Thanks! The connections between the world civilizations run deep. Everyone needed a story to explain the existence of fossils, for example.
Try adjusting for the earths change in orbit or solar effect on earth such as magnetism effects on time and space. Such a global ELE could change a days duration. It. Would account for the petroglyphs and the reboot in babylon that seems to be silent about pre atra-hasis .except for the gilgamesh epic and some biblical . The time of day experiences glitches even now as a day become shorter oe longer by what scientists call solar jerks caused by the suns magnetic field in tanglement w/earths.

This article is not overburdened by the author’s independent , critical analysis . Disappointing .
